Arnside Sailing Club

The Old Customs House Promenade, Arnside, Carnforth, Lancashire, LA5 0HD, United Kingdom

Arnside Sailing Club offers sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking on one of the country’s most scenic estuary. At high tide there is a large sailing area with more constant winds than in a lake. The estuary has a long maritime history, acting as the port for Kendal. Arthur Ransome’s Swallow was built in the village. We use Killington near Sedbergh as an inland training centre offering courses for adults, children, schools and groups. Our clubhouse is used for social events, including live music. The Club owns Severn a yacht built in the village in 1912.
